School Garden

For more information or to share ideas, please contact Suzy Jennings or Charlotte Lindstrom, Education & Health Svs.

School Garden Project
Our school garden is a living educational tool that promotes environmental stewardship, healthy lifestyles, and provides students with opportunities to establish a connection with their community. Students participate in garden activities during lunchtime as well as during science class with the school's District Lead Science Teacher, Jenifer Perazzo.

Lunchtime Volunteers
The school garden project needs parent volunteers to help with lunchtime garden exploration and activities! The lunchtime garden exploration gives our children a chance to explore, care for, and nurture our garden's plants and vegetables. If you are a passionate gardener and would like to share your love of gardening with our students, please contact Ann Marie Renwick.

Vintage Hills School Garden Club
Open to students from kindergarten to 5th grade, the school garden club offers project-based S.T.E.A.M. education, utilizing the Vintage Hills School Garden as a living laboratory. Members of the school garden club participate in projects using science, technology, engineering, art, and math to further their garden education. The Garden Club enables students to learn more about their food sources, encourages healthy food choices, and establishes an appreciation for natural systems observation.
