Is e-waste taking up valuable space in your home or office? Upgrading your phone or device? Need to get rid of empty printer cartridges? Reduce your carbon footprint and help spread eco-awareness throughout our school community.

Here are a few options for safely disposing of e-waste:

  1. Sell your “valuable” electronics for personal cash. Sell through www.MaxBack.com and use our school ID #361452. You will receive 100% of your item’s value, and Vintage Hills will receive 10% of that amount as a bonus.
  2. Take all empty printer cartridges to Office Depot or Office Max. You will receive $2 store credit for your personal use for every cartridge you turn in, for a maximum of 10 cartridges per month.
  3. Take all used electronics to Best Buy. Best Buy is committed to reducing e-waste and will safely dispose of your materials.
  4. Dispose of hazardous waste at the Livermore Hazardous Household Waste drop-off facility.
  5. The Pleasanton Transfer Station has expanded its recycling program and now accepts several types of e-waste.

Girl and Boy Scouts Volunteer Opportunities

If you or your child is involved with a kids club like Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, please contact Emily Seltzer, Go Green Coordinator, for the volunteer opportunities listed below. Your scouts only need to commit to one event, one date, and the single experience will have a huge impact on everyone.
